Terms and Conditions of our Services.
In using our services, you agree to have read and agree to the following terms and conditions.
Blocked drains/soakaways.
We do not attempt to clear soakaways underground this is not a guttering job and may not be attempted by us.
Gutter installations warranty.
The Company provides a 5year warranty on gutter installations relating to any new fitted parts. This includes the installation of whole new guttering systems and/or the installation of new fascia’s and/or soffits and /or capping.
We guarantee a professional standard of workmanship on all installations carried out. However, if it is deemed by us that the installation is not functioning correctly, and that this directly relates to either a problem with the parts supplies or the initial workmanship, we will consider returning to re-install or repair any sections of the guttering that were not installed correctly. This will be entirely down to us. The guarantee only covers parts fitted by us and will be invalidated if pre-existing parts or fascia/soffits are potentially or partially contributing to any problems that have arisen.
We would only come out to rectify a job if it is clear to us that there has been poor workmanship and/ or there has been a mistake on our behalf.
This guarantee does not cover any guttering systems that become faulty due to a lack of regular clearance and maintenance
Our company may use capping board where necessary or if the wooden fascia soffits are still intact. please note this is still regarded a’ full replacement’.
The customer and the company would both have to agree that we have worked in an incorrect manner for us to return to rectify.
Access Equipment – If required, we would return to inspect and/or rectify areas/parts fitted by us as per our guarantee. However, if a guaranteed section of work required attention in the future, the cost of providing the access equipment (scaffolding) is not covered by this warranty and would be at the responsibility of the customer to supply and cover such costs.
Accountability.
The Company will not be held accountable if a third party interrupts the completion of the works and/or causes any damage to the areas in which we have worked.
Payment terms.
All prices are fixed
Unless agreed otherwise in advance, payment is due on date of invoice.
Payment can be made via cash, BACS transfer or Card payment. (Card payments may incur an extra 3% of the price originally given due to costs.)
Upon the company receiving payment in full after an invoice you are certifying that you are happy with all aspects of the work that has been carried out.
Deposit for new installs.
Should you agree to have new guttering installed we would require a deposit for materials to be ordered and delivered directly to your address.
Rights to images.
Our photographic reports and photographs and images belong to J&D Gutters Limited and we reserve the right to use these images for advertising purposes.
Insurance.
Our company has public liability up to the value of £2million pounds and also employers’ liability up to the value of £10 million pounds
Skips.
Should a skip be required this is the responsibility of the customer in relation to payment
Scaffolding.
Where necessary we will use a scaffolding the cost of the scaffolding will be inclusive of your price. Should you require scaffolding this will be stated in your initial phone conversation with the company.
Asbestos.
We may not interfere with asbestos and should asbestos be found on a job you may be liable for additional costs to remove this.
Waste/Rubbish.
We will always remove the rubbish bags once a replacement has been completed leaving the work site as clean as possible.
Gutter Cleaning /Clearing/Full Wash.
Gutter cleaning and or clearing are removing debris front the inside of gutters and checking the downpipes are flowing freely as they should be. This does not include and cosmetic cleaning to the outside of the gutters.
Should you require a full wash ,we then include an inside and outside gutter clean/wash with all downpipes, fascia’s and soffits included. We use a water fed soft brush system full washes.
Repairs to gutter.
Our repair service is not guaranteed and this consists of using waterproof silicon to seal joints or where possible replacement of joints.
Signing over completed works.
By sending over full payment you agree that you are completely satisfied with all works that has been done.
These terms relate to only J&D Gutters Limited.
